Our Approach

The function of emergency management is to provide coordination and support to response agencies and local jurisdictions in any incident that reaches beyond the normal first response.  The EMA's main goal is to serve the community of Camden to the best of our ability.  We work with the municipalities and the other county agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents.

Meet the Team

Ron Gentry

Mr. Gentry comes to us as a 35-year veteran of Mid-County Fire, serving 22 years as Chief.  His experience brings knowledge to the table that allows the EMA to maintain and build relationships with the many stakeholders in the county.  He also has a long standing presence in the community which allows him the ability to improvise under pressure and reach out to resources in our community.

Ann Mott

Assistant Director

Ann recently moved from Texas a year ago and is completely loving Missouri as her new home.  She is an Army combat medic veteran and has experience working with Storm Teams and internal emergency management with Pike Electric, Mott MacDonald and CPS Energy as an electrical design consultant.  She is currently mentoring with Ron, all the EMD's in Region F, SEMA, and local fire and law enforcement to move into Ron's position in January 2021.

Lori Favilla

Coordinator, CERT

Lori is the awesome Administrative Assistant with Sunrise Beach Fire Department, Coordinator for CERT and volunteers with many other agencies in our county to support our local residents.  She leads the CERT team, that is growing stronger by the day!

Eric Hoover

Coordinator, Lake Area Storm Spotters

We love our Lake Area Storm Spotters!  Eric brings a ton of experience to our community in the area of organizing and team building.  His weather knowledge adds to the expertise of his team and the safety of our county.

Robert Hayes

EMA Volunteer Coordinator, LEPC Chair and CERT trainer

After retiring from being a vocational teacher for 31 years, Bob volunteers every way he possibly can.  He is the chair of the LEPC, the EMA Volunteer Coordinator and a trainer for the CERT team.  His motto is that he would rather be a help in an emergency than a hindrance.
