Available to Everyone!

Hello, all!

Assistant Director Sam Henley here!

Director Ron Gentry and I want to tell you about some things we have available to the public here at the EMA!

As you have probably seen from our weekly COVID-19 call notes, we have about 14,000 paper masks available for everyone. We are reviewing bids right now to bring another 100,000 masks into Camden County. Likewise, we have almost 400 gallons of hand sanitizer. Please bring your own bottles/jugs/containers, as we do not provide them.

Beyond the COVID-19 supplies, we keep a number of resources on hand which are free to the public. We support the READY in 3 campaign and you can see a partial list of the pamphlets, fliers, DVDs, booklets, and such which we have available here. We also have a myriad of information on identity protection. Our friend Buzzer the Bee helps us keep all of those ready to go!

We also support the county’s Community Emergency Response Team. We are working on ways to make their meetings and some of the training available online. You can learn more about the Camden County, MO CERT here. CC MO CERT’s Facebook page can be found here.

Our office is open to the public and we welcome you to come down and visit with us about all things related to emergency preparedness! We are open Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. As long as you can maintain social distancing, no masks are required, however we do have some here if you need them!

Our Facebook page can be found here.

We look forward to meeting you!

I became the Director of Camden County, MO Emergency Management Agency (EMA) in August 2021 after previously serving as the agency's Deputy Director for a year. As the Director, I manage the day-to-day operations of the EMA, work on the Local Emergency Operations Plan, manage the Facebook, Twitter, and website for the EMA, oversee the webpages for the Camden County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC), provide oversight and run exercises for the Camden County, MO Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), and work with the Camden County, MO Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES). I hold a general class amateur radio license, call sign KE0LMY. I am also the official "Bee Keeper" of our mascot, Buzzer the Bee, who wants you to BEE Prepared!!! I'm a certified CERT trainer and WebEOC trainer for the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency. I maintain an EXTENSIVE and ever-growing list of credentials and train vigorously with first responder agencies, other EMAs, and with anyone I believe will help me become a better, more well-rounded emergency management director.
