EMA Christmas Drawings

Your name will be entered into each of the two drawings ONCE, regardless of how many times you comment or like the posts. Winner of drawing one will NOT be entered into drawing two to make it fair for everyone! The winners of the two weather radios can pick up their radios at the EMA building located at 12 VFW Rd. Camdenton, MO 65020.

I became the Director of Camden County, MO Emergency Management Agency (EMA) in August 2021 after previously serving as the agency's Deputy Director for a year. As the Director, I manage the day-to-day operations of the EMA, work on the Local Emergency Operations Plan, manage the Facebook, Twitter, and website for the EMA, oversee the webpages for the Camden County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC), provide oversight and run exercises for the Camden County, MO Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), and work with the Camden County, MO Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES). I hold a general class amateur radio license, call sign KE0LMY. I am also the official "Bee Keeper" of our mascot, Buzzer the Bee, who wants you to BEE Prepared!!! I'm a certified CERT trainer and WebEOC trainer for the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency. I maintain an EXTENSIVE and ever-growing list of credentials and train vigorously with first responder agencies, other EMAs, and with anyone I believe will help me become a better, more well-rounded emergency management director. Another year’s coming to an end and though it’s been a crazy year I’d like to thank Ron Gentry for his time with the County Emergency Mgmt Agency and all the renovation he’s done in the Agency’s office, Thank you so much and enjoy your retirement. I would also like to thank Samantha Henley for joining the Camden County Emergency Mgmt Agency and for all her valuable knowledge and time on getting some things rolling for both the Camden Cnty EMA and the CERT group; thank you so much Samantha your a tremendous asset to our (Camden Cnty) teams! And I also want to thank Tim George for becoming the CERT Coordinator and already getting the CERT program on a good start of having each 2021 monthly CERT meeting having a designated training/work session. I’m hoping 2021 will see the CERT team can become more pulled together (both as individuals and as a group) and the program grows with the addition of new volunteers.
