As we approach the crescendo of planning and organizing a mass vaccination event with the Miller County Emergency Management Agency, Camden County Health Department, Miller County Health Department, Morgan County Health Department, Lake Regional Health Services, first responder agencies, SEMA, the Missouri National Guard, and more, we are making arrangements to be as prepared as possible to help the residents and visitors of Camden, Miller, and Morgan Counties by getting our bees in a row!
We have some of our Camden County, MO Community Emergency Response Team members helping to update computers, fill five gallon jugs with hand sanitizer, gather cases of face masks, prepare the delineators, charge our roadside sign, and more on our list of to-do’s for the event.
Along with this Mass Vax Event, we also continue with our daily duties, including working on emergency preparedness outreach to organizations throughout Camden County.
Alex, one of our Teen CERT members, helps us by preparing goody bags for our visit to Share the Harvest tomorrow morning!
Stay tuned for more information on the upcoming MoNG Mass Vax Event, coming out soon!
I became the Director of Camden County, MO Emergency Management Agency (EMA) in August 2021 after previously serving as the agency's Deputy Director for a year. As the Director, I manage the day-to-day operations of the EMA, work on the Local Emergency Operations Plan, manage the Facebook, Twitter, and website for the EMA, oversee the webpages for the Camden County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC), provide oversight and run exercises for the Camden County, MO Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), and work with the Camden County, MO Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES). I hold a general class amateur radio license, call sign KE0LMY. I am also the official "Bee Keeper" of our mascot, Buzzer the Bee, who wants you to BEE Prepared!!!
I'm a certified CERT trainer and WebEOC trainer for the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency.
I maintain an EXTENSIVE and ever-growing list of credentials and train vigorously with first responder agencies, other EMAs, and with anyone I believe will help me become a better, more well-rounded emergency management director.

Samantha, thanks so much for all the work you are doing at the CCEMA; it’s fantastic! Also, thank your helpers as their help is definitely getting the CCEMA in better shape then it’s ever been since I’ve been associated with it. Thanks again!
