Backup EOC Locations Locked in!

As part of our ongoing updates to the Local Emergency Operations Plan, the Camden County, MO Emergency Management Agency now has TWO Backup Emergency Operations Center locations locked in!

What is an Emergency Operations Center, you ask?

The emergency operations center is a physical or virtual location from which coordination and support of incident management activities is directed.

Backup EOC location 1: Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District Station #1 – 30 Porter Mill Springs Drive, Sunrise Beach, MO 65079

A HUGE thank you to Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District for their help and willingness to promote a cooperative environment, especially during any large-scale emergencies which may cause our office to need a backup location for the county Emergency Operations Center!

Backup EOC location 2: Village of Four Seasons – 133 Cherokee Road, Lake Ozark, MO 65049

Once again, we are extremely honored to have our partners at the Village of Four Seasons and, by extension, the Camden County Sheriff’s Office extend the welcome to use the Village as our other backup EOC location. This will make it easy for us to work in tandem with other first responder agencies when and if the need arises to activate the backup EOC at the Village!

In the coming months, we will be working with officials in both of these locations to ensure the proper equipment is in place for a seamless transition to either if necessary! We will keep you updated on our journey so you can also understand when, why, and how the EOC is activated!

Stay tuned!
