Camden County EOC Training Begins Today!

EOC training is starting up again for this year. Any CERT members, first responders, business owners, partnering agencies, and anyone else who would like to continue or start their Camden County EOC training are welcome to attend. We are stepping forward into a tabletop exercise that will culminate in a full-scale exercise in October.

April 27 – EOC overview
May 25 – EOC etiquette and setup
June 22 – specific jobs in the EOC
July 27 – full review of EOC training thus far
August 24 – discussion-based exercise
September 28 – tabletop exercise
October 26 – full-scale exercise and AAR

I became the Director of Camden County, MO Emergency Management Agency (EMA) in August 2021 after previously serving as the agency's Deputy Director for a year. As the Director, I manage the day-to-day operations of the EMA, work on the Local Emergency Operations Plan, manage the Facebook, Twitter, and website for the EMA, oversee the webpages for the Camden County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC), provide oversight and run exercises for the Camden County, MO Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), and work with the Camden County, MO Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES). Good afternoon Sam!!! I would love to assist with Camden Co EMA and training. Already CERT Instructor with Johnson Co EMA in Warrensburg. I also would like to become one of your radio operators … I have a General Class, and Ernie Venis can tell you about me.

I’m currently though working many hours as PSC, SITL, and ARESL for the flooding of the Mississippi River with USCG Auxiliary. Have a fantastic day!!!
