Director Ron Gentry
Ron has had quite the career! He has been a police officer, a firefighter and chief, and now serves as the director of the EMA! He has been able to bring equipment into our county which was needed for large-scale emergencies, managed our efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic, and he has also taken on remodeling our building and has done an amazing job, making our conference room/EOC a more usable, comfortable place to work!
Assistant Director Sam Henley (KE0LMY)
Sam has joined the EMA after first serving in Benton County as their Deputy Emergency Management Director. She is a trainer for SEMA and holds a General Class amateur radio license, call sign KE0LMY. She manages the website, Facebook page, and Twitter for us! She oversees our county’s Community Emergency Response Team program, manages the budget and training opportunities for the Local Emergency Planning Committee, and she is also the “Official Beekeeper” of our mascot, Buzzer the Bee!
