Sam joined the EMA as our Deputy Director after first serving in Benton County as their Deputy Emergency Management Director. She is a WebEOC trainer for SEMA and holds a General Class amateur radio license, call sign KE0LMY (that’s a zero!). She manages the website, Facebook page, and Twitter among all of the jobs listed below! She manages the web pages and training opportunities for the Local Emergency Planning Committee, and is also the “Official Beekeeper” of our mascot, Buzzer the Bee! She maintains an ever-increasing list of certifications with FEMA, MU, and more! You can find Sam on Facebook here!

Our office has analyzed resumes, conducted the first round of interviews for the Deputy Director position, and has contacted the references for the applicants chosen to move on to the next round of interviews, which will be with the Director and the Camden County Commission. We are quite excited to see who the commission chooses as our new deputy director! Standby for updates!
