TIP:  If you need to leave your computer in the middle of a lesson, don’t close the window.  If you close the window, you will have to begin from the start of the lesson when you return instead of where you left off.


Any volunteers who are interested in working in the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) during a large-scale emergency will require additional courses to attain NIMS compliance.  These courses include the following:

Online Storm Spotter Training

*You must also complete in-seat training, which is often held at local EMAs, ARES meetings, or ham radio club meetings.

We are working with the NWS Springfield office to hold an in-person Tactical Storm Spotter training here in Camden County in March 2022, depending on pandemic conditions. Please email EMD Sam Henley at sam_henley@camdenmo.org to be added to this invite only class.
