Welcome to the Camden County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) Website. Our mission is to provide programs and activities to County residents and departments to help them prepare for, cope with and recover from the effects of natural and man-made disasters. We do this through all four phases of emergency management: preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation.

"Two months ago, several areas in Camden County were struck by a small tornado that, though small in size and severity, did tremendous damage. Countless tress were uprooted, many structures were damaged, and several roads were initially blocked. The Camden County Commission would like to thank the tremendous response displayed by our first responders. Under the outstanding direction of Ron Gentry and Ann Mott from our EMA office; everyone from CERT, the SW Baptist volunteers, and the Camden County Road and Bridge Department, to the Camden County Sheriffs Office, Southwest, Laclede, COMO and Ameren electric companies, and many other volunteers, all worked together to come to the aid of our neighbors. Camden County exemplified the way a community is supposed to come together in the face of difficulties and our community's response made us all very proud. Second District Commissioner Don Williams would like to personally thank EMA Assistant Director Ann Mott and R&B South Shed Supervisor Patrick Wolf for their tireless work and dedication over those first few days after the tornado struck as well as the Road and Bridge Department as a whole for putting in many days of overtime cleaning up the hundreds of truckloads of debris over the following weeks. This was an example of Camden County at its' best! Thank you all very much."
Are you in the know....
When severe weather or other emergencies strike, the effects can be widespread and may result in injury or death. That’s why its important to stay up to date with emergency notifications offered by trusted, local and national authorities. In Camden, we use Nixle system to notify the public. These are used based on the severity and scale of the emergency.
